This weekend will be the culminating event for Orange Room‘s Tri-Factor Series, the Triathlon. The organizers put on a whole series for Singapore’s Triathlon enthusiasts this year with a Tri Swim in May, a Tri Bike in June and a Tri Run in August.

The special series was a chance for participants to race while training in a three month build up to the event. Athletes who signed up for all four events will be awarded points based on their Finishing Place and Race Distance. In other words, athletes who did very well in the longer races will earn more points than those who achieved the same ranking at a shorter distance. At the end of the series these points will be tallied and a Series Champion will be named for each race.

I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with a brief introduction to our company known as Orange Room Pte Ltd, who had recently extended out from another company know as “The Swimming Room”, that mainly specializes in organizing outdoor sports and teambuilding events. Our current board of directors has an inspiring combined experience of more than 100 years in the competitive sporting event world. Quick facts on this weekend’s Triathlon:

• 1680 participants with 31 different nationalities including: Austrian,Brazilian, Filipino, French, Greek, Irish, Japanese, Korean, Scottish, South African, Swiss and Welsh
• There will be athletes from Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Malaysia flying into Singapore especially to participate in the event.
• The race will commence with the first wave of Olympic distance at 745am to wave 35 for the sprint distance at 12noon.
• The Cross Company Challenge will see many companies battle it out for the CCC Championship Trophy
• Live Band, Beach Clean-ups, Sports Massage along with all the sponsors booth add to the excitement of this event.

I will be participating in the race this weekend myself and look forward to a great race. Orange Room spared no efforts with this Triathlon having printed special race booklets for each athlete as well as full color numbers with each individual athlete’s name printed on it! Its rare to see such effort put into all the details.
